Vernae Rahman-Smith
BIO:
Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Vernae is the oldest child of 3 and oldest grandchild of 12+. Her childcare journey started from growing up in a big family and these circumstances provided her with childcare skills at an early age. Over the years she gained experience caring for children during infancy to 12 years of age older. She has cared for children in the classroom, in their communities, and in their homes as a nanny, tutor, and mentor. She couples this experience with a master’s in social work and experience working with older adults and their families making her well-versed in multigenerational care and challenges. She is a Howard University graduate.
Vernae received her postpartum doula certification in 2022, she trained as a birth doula in 2023 and is very excited to continue supporting families to thrive.
