Birth Doula

BIO:

Zina is a DONA International certified birth doula. She has over a decade of reproductive health experience and currently works at the National Women’s Law Center in Washington, DC.

Zina is a graduate of Brown University, where she first learned about the enormous benefits of doula care in a class with pregnancy and parenting expert Emily Oster. She sees doulas as advocates for families, helping them make more confident and informed decisions. She is committed to ensuring that people feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout pregnancy and childbirth. She practices evidence-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care. Zina believes that everyone deserves quality healthcare and supports all births and all families.

Originally from the Midwest, Zina now calls Washington, DC home. In her free time, you’ll find her running in Rock Creek Park or checking out books at the DC Public Library.
