BIO:

Nneka is a recent graduate of Columbia University’s Spirituality, Mind, Body Institute with a Masters in Psychology and an advanced certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality - Maternity Track.  

Currently, Nneka is pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from George Washington University. Nneka is a perinatal mental health researcher and intends to become a psychologist who specializes in postpartum mental health post-graduation.  

Most recently, Nneka interned at the United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA) working on international policy and support for birthing women with disabilities globally.  

Nneka’s core values are spirituality, regardless of religion, tapping into mindfulness practices to help facilitate ease in moments of change and transition. Additionally, Nneka is passionate about diversity, public policy, and nutrition.  

Nneka believes in the mind, body, and spirit connection and as a doula her goal will be to support you in your birth journey to ensure you feel knowledgeable in all of your birthing options, grounded in your body, and connect to not only you spirit but the spirit of your unborn child as well.  

Birth is a vulnerable, powerful, and spiritual experience and Nneka would be eager to support you in your journey!
